Demolished now These trees were beautiful in the fall.

We had a similar ice storm a few years back and our trees still have not recovered - this makes me really sad!!
The tree is broken alright. Sad to see a proud old tree shatter like that.

Here in NE Arkansas, we are suffering through the same plight. Yesterday, a crew from the school came and started clearing away some of the debris in our yard from fallen and damaged trees. We were thankful to have them. They also said they might be able to save one tree that is not completely over and is still rooted. They are going to try to raise it. Hopefully, that will save it. Still remains to be seen how many will survive.
What a shame, it looks to have been a beautiful tree.
This was obviously such a devastating event and the effects will be apparent for years to come. I hope your town gets re-treed soon...
It really is broken! It is sad when so old trees go from time!!
