He seems particularly aggressive, even for a water snake which I think are usually more fiesty than others. Nice shots and a great way to use the theme!

He is just showing off, laughing while he does the backstroke. I envy you the opportunity of the shots, great markings wonderful shots.
That is just too creepy - enough to keep me away from the water for a lifetime. But a very cool set of photos!
What sort of snake is that ?
Looks like you were in the right place at the right time to capture it. Well done. Like the shot whilst the snake is on it's back with their mouth open.
OMG, I'm terrified of snakes. Aren't water moccasins deadly? Yikes! Perfect, however, for the theme.
